When the lavastone is subsequently extracted, it is impossible to see what is inside it. The ‘green spots’ are pieces of iron within the stone that turn green during baking in the oven at 950°C. A Low Oak Sideboard with Architectural Proportions

The Bolia Daia Low Sideboard combines generous horizontal storage with a deliberately reduced height. At approximately 45.6 cm high, the cabinet sits much lower than a conventional sideboard, creating a calmer relationship with the wall and the furniture surrounding it.

Its long oak form is structured around two distinctive vertical supports, giving the cabinet a more architectural expression than a conventional rectangular storage unit.

Designed by Ramos Bassols

Daia was created for Bolia by Spanish design studio Ramos Bassols. The studio places particular emphasis on clean lines, proportion, detail, architecture and craftsmanship.

For the Daia collection, the designers looked to the elegant horizontal architecture of 1950s America. That influence is especially clear in the Low Sideboard, where the length of the cabinet becomes one of the strongest elements of the design.

1950s Architecture Translated into Storage

Rather than treating storage as one uninterrupted block, Daia balances horizontal planes, enclosed cabinet sections and negative space around two strong vertical legs.

The result feels closer to a piece of small-scale architecture than a purely practical cabinet. Long surfaces establish a strong visual line across the room, while the lower height prevents the piece from dominating the wall behind it.

180 cm or 240 cm Low Sideboard

RB12 offers the Daia Low Sideboard in two widths:

The 180 cm version is easier to place on a more compact wall while still retaining the long horizontal character of the collection. The 240 cm version creates a considerably stronger architectural statement and offers more generous storage across a larger room.

Bolia’s current specifications show slight depth differences on some drawer configurations, so the exact dimensions of the selected model should be checked before ordering.

Choose Daia With or Without Drawers

Both Low Sideboard widths can be configured with or without drawers, allowing the internal storage to be matched more closely to what you plan to keep inside.

Drawer versions are useful for smaller objects that benefit from separation and easier access, while the non-drawer configuration retains larger uninterrupted storage areas.

Because the drawers remain integrated into the overall geometry, the practical difference does not compromise the restrained exterior of the cabinet.

Three Oak Finishes

RB12 currently offers the Daia Low Sideboard in three oak expressions:

White-pigmented oak creates the lightest and most overtly Scandinavian expression. Natural oiled oak introduces more warmth, while dark-pigmented oak emphasises the strong horizontal geometry and works particularly well against paler walls and floors.

A Low Sideboard for Living Rooms

The 45.6 cm height makes this Daia particularly well suited to living spaces. It provides substantial enclosed storage without creating the taller visual block associated with a conventional sideboard.

Its broad upper surface can be used for books, decorative objects, table lamps or artwork, while the enclosed areas keep less decorative everyday items out of sight.

Low Storage Beneath a Wall-Mounted TV

Daia’s low proportions can also work particularly well beneath a wall-mounted television, where a conventional sideboard may sit too high and compete with the screen.

The 180 cm and 240 cm widths allow the furniture to establish a strong horizontal relationship with the wall above, helping the television feel more integrated into the wider room rather than appearing as an isolated object.

Both designs retain the same underlying Daia language of oak, long horizontal proportions and geometric supports.

Made in Europe

Bolia lists Daia as made in Slovenia. The manufacturer provides detailed traceability for key components including the oak veneer cabinet, solid oak legs, hardware and surface treatment.

The legs require mounting after delivery. Because Daia is available up to 240 cm long, Bolia also advises checking stairs, doors, lifts and other access points before ordering.

Storage Capacity

Bolia specifies a maximum overall load of approximately 40 kg on relevant Daia Low configurations, with individual shelves rated at approximately 10 kg where applicable.

The low profile therefore does not mean Daia is purely decorative: its enclosed cabinet areas provide practical everyday storage while the broad top remains available for display.

As with any hand-tufted, hand-carved rug, colours can appear slightly differently depending on lighting and surroundings.

Each colourway is available in four standard sizes — 180×270cm, 200×300cm, 250×350cm and 300×400cm — as well as a full bespoke sizing service, with custom lengths from 140cm to 1800cm and widths from 75cm to 500cm. Because each rug is handcrafted individually, slight natural size variation of up to 3cm is normal, and custom orders cannot be cancelled once production begins.

A Pendant Built from Rings of Oak Veneer

The Bolia Anelli Pendant creates volume without the visual weight of a conventional solid lampshade.

Slender rings of oak veneer are suspended one above another on fine string, forming an open, rounded structure that allows light and sightlines to pass through the pendant.

Designed by Meike Harde

Anelli was designed by German designer Meike Harde, whose work often explores fine structures, transparency and subtle details within simple, clearly defined forms.

That approach is particularly visible in Anelli, where the construction itself becomes the decorative feature. The individual veneer rings remain exposed, allowing the structure of the pendant to be understood from every angle.

Voluminous Without Feeling Heavy

Although Anelli has a generous rounded silhouette, the spaces between its individual rings give the pendant an unusually light and transparent character.

The integrated LED is positioned at the top of the pendant, allowing the light to travel through the open veneer structure below.

Warm 3000K LED Light

Anelli uses a warm 3000K integrated LED, making it particularly suited to dining areas, living spaces and other interiors where a softer evening atmosphere is preferred.

A CRI of 92 also provides strong colour rendering, helping timber, upholstery, food and surrounding finishes appear natural beneath the light.

Two Sizes at RB12

RB12 offers the Bolia Anelli Pendant in two sizes, allowing its sculptural form to be scaled around the room and furniture beneath it.

The smaller size works well where the pendant needs to remain visually compact or where several lights will be grouped together, while Ø55 cm creates a fuller focal point above a larger table or open living area.

Lighting Output by Size

Both Anelli pendants use an integrated 15W LED at 3000K with a colour rendering index of 92 Ra, although the light output differs between the two sizes.

Anelli is not dimmable, so the position and size of the pendant should be considered alongside the other lighting used within the room.

Lacquered Oak or Dark Lacquered Oak

RB12 offers Anelli in Lacquered Oak and Dark Lacquered Oak, allowing the same structure to take on two noticeably different expressions.

The lighter oak finish emphasises the natural warmth and delicacy of the veneer, while Dark Lacquered Oak gives the individual rings greater contrast and creates a stronger silhouette against lighter walls and ceilings.

Above a Dining Table

Anelli is particularly well suited to dining areas because its generous form can visually anchor the table while its open construction avoids creating a heavy barrier across the room.

The warm LED and high colour rendering also make it a natural choice where both atmosphere and the appearance of surrounding materials matter.

Create a Grouped Pendant Arrangement

Bolia designed the two Anelli sizes so they can be used together as well as individually.

Combining Ø44 cm and Ø55 cm pendants at different heights creates greater depth and volume while retaining the transparent character of the individual lights, making this particularly effective in stairwells, entrance spaces and rooms with generous ceiling height.

3 Metre Textile Suspension

A 3 metre dark beige textile cord provides flexibility when setting the suspension height.

The matching dark beige ceiling canopy measures approximately 12.5 x 3 cm, keeping the ceiling connection discreet against the more expressive shade below.

A Replaceable Integrated LED

The LED light source is included and has a specified operating life of approximately 30,000 hours.

Importantly, Bolia confirms that the light source is replaceable, so the complete pendant does not need to be discarded when the LED eventually reaches the end of its service life.

The Dover Armchair brings together soft, organic upholstery and the streamlined proportions of 1950s furniture. Designed by the BOLIA Design Team, its rounded form creates a generous, inviting seat, while elegant tapered oak peg legs give the chair a lighter visual footprint. Choose Your Own E14 Bulb

Scribe uses a standard E14 bulb with a maximum wattage of 25W. The bulb is not included.

Dimmable with the Right Bulb

The Scribe Wall Light can be dimmed when fitted with a compatible dimmable E14 bulb and used with a suitable electrical system.

The Ili Ili Wall Light takes Grupa’s modular, “this or that” design philosophy and adapts it for the wall, giving the collection’s playful character a more directional, task-oriented purpose. Like its pendant siblings, the shade is press-spun and powder-coated by hand from aluminium, giving it the same tactile, matte finish that defines the whole Ili Ili family.

What sets the wall version apart is its flexibility of placement: the arm rotates a full 135 degrees, so the light can be angled exactly where it’s needed — over a book, across a desk, or simply up towards the ceiling for a softer, ambient wash. An on/off switch built into the base means it can be operated independently, without relying on a separate wall switch or plug socket timer.

The result bridges the bold, expressive world of fashion with solid, considered interior design.

What sets Petal apart is its surface. Crafted from 100% wool on a durable cotton backing, the rug is hand-carved into two distinct pile heights — a 12mm low pile and a 17mm high pile — worked together to capture the fluidity and movement of the original design. The result is a genuinely three-dimensional, architecturally structured surface with real tactile variation underfoot, rather than a flat, single-height weave.

The Bolia Cord Sideboard combines substantial solid-oak construction with a much lighter woven front. Fine strands of paper cord stretch across the doors, introducing texture and depth while preventing the cabinet from feeling like one uninterrupted block of timber.

Cord was designed by German studio Hertel & Klarhoefer. The designers place particular emphasis on materiality, often working with materials and full-scale prototypes early in the design process rather than treating surface finishes as a final decorative decision.

That thinking is easy to see in Cord. The underlying form is intentionally restrained, leaving the contrast between solid oak and woven paper cord to create much of the furniture’s identity.

The Signature Danish Paper-Cord Front

The defining detail of the Cord collection is its Danish paper-cord front. The fine braided surface introduces a softer and more intricate material expression than a conventional solid-oak cabinet door.

At 168 cm wide, the larger Cord creates a stronger horizontal presence and provides more generous storage and display space without moving into the scale of an oversized 200 cm-plus sideboard.
