Description
Designed by Studio Finna for Bolia, Scribe takes a simple, elongated bar form and turns it into a genuinely sculptural light fitting. Its slim, rectangular profile in coated steel gives it a cool, industrial edge, yet the light it produces is anything but harsh: a built-in LED module evenly fills the entire underside of the shade, casting a soft, ambient glow across the table or surface beneath it, rather than a single hard point of light.
That combination — architectural form, gentle light — makes Scribe a natural fit above a dining table, a kitchen counter or a home office desk, anywhere you want the fixture itself to read as a considered design statement. Because of its slender, linear shape, it also lends itself particularly well to clustering: hang two or three at staggered heights and lengths for a dynamic, gallery-like composition, or run a single fixture along the length of an island for continuous, even light.
Scribe is available in three lengths — Small (70cm), Medium (130cm) and Large (170cm) — so it can be scaled to fit anything from a small breakfast bar to a long dining table, all sharing the same 8cm width and 17cm height. Each comes with a replaceable LED light source (3000K, 108lm), a 3-metre cable, and is finished in matt Creme, matt Grey or matt Black to suit a range of interior palettes.
