Mambo Unlimited Ideas production is based in Portugal where a team of skilled craftsmen carefully brings to life every of its original designs with traditional production techniques. Each step of manufacturing is carefully controlled in a close relation between the design and production teams that together bring new designs to life.
Our collection is born from Portuguese centuries old crafts tradition.
These crafts have been perfected by Portuguese craftsmen with years of expertise: the precise and laborious work of lacquered metals, the careful shaping of solid woods, the patient carving of marbles, the sculpting of noble metals such as brass and copper, the delicate work of glass and the detailed and profuse techniques of upholstery, with rich tradition in Portugal.
All of our products are carefully handmade one by one by experienced craftsmen, in a production balanced between state-of-the-art processes and handmade details.
This crafts heritage is an important base stone to our design approach.
Our Design team develops highly creative and functional products rooted in a deep knowledge of materials, their features, the possibilities they offer and that profound knowledge enables us to explore new shapes and solutions to go beyond the usual.

Furninova has decades of experience in designing and building sofas at our European factory. We truly believe that this is the only way to guarantee the high quality and craftsmanship that we require of ourselves and that we wish our customers to enjoy.

We don’t take chances. Everything we do is considered from all perspectives. That’s why we own our factory and have full control from the beginning to the end. We build the frames of our furniture ourselves. We cut the fabric and leathers. Mount it all together and upholster the furniture. It is far from mass production; it is craftsmanship. The factory gives our customers and us greater flexibility. The location in Masury in Poland is not a coincidence. The closeness to our different markets in Europe and the world is essential, not least from a sustainability perspective.
As a company
Since our story began 30 years ago, our ambition has been to offer modern personalized furniture at an affordable price. Today we are glad to be able to say we have succeeded. The Nordic region is our domestic market, and we have sales offices around the world. Each year, approximately 250,000 customer unique sofas and armchairs leave our factory.
As an international company, we appear at the major furniture fairs. They serve as important meeting places where we build relationships with new and established customers. Therefore, our goal is always to provide our resellers and end-users with that little extra and unexpected that makes our upholstered furniture the best place in your home.

30 years is a long time
We look back on a history in which we have found new ways of manufacturing furniture and have gone from a company employing dozens to one employing thousands, with a presence in more than twenty European markets, US and Canada.
And it seems we are not the only ones who recognize that we are on to something. Being chosen to be a supplier to one of the largest home furnishing companies in the world has meant a lot – for developing our business, as well as for the encouraging stamp of approval it brings.

The story of AYTM begins at the harbour of Aarhus, Denmark. The roots of the brand are tightly anchored in Danish design, but the sole purpose of its existence is to reinvent design traditions and give interior fashion a new perspective. AYTM designs reflect simplistic shapes and structures of Scandinavian interior, but stand out with their bold and internationally inspired colours.
Behind AYTM, there is husband and wife Per and Kathrine Gran Hartvigsen. The unique and dedicated values of AYTM are truly the result of their shared experiences and aspirations. After spending a few years in Bangladesh, they returned to Denmark with a dream of designing and delivering high-quality home accessories.
In 2004, the couple founded Gran Living, which offers a wide range of private label products to mid-size and high-end chain stores in Northern Europe. Eventually, in 2015, a lifetime dream became a reality for the passionate couple. The creation of their very own interior design brand saw its light of day. AYTM. The name is a wordplay on the word »item«and it’s pronounced exactly like that. The logo is a simple and visual combination of the letters A-Y-T-M.
