Novamobili – Italian Furniture Designed Around the Way You Live

Novamobili creates contemporary Italian furniture with flexibility at its core. Best known for its highly configurable wardrobe and storage systems, the collection is designed to help make better use of the space available while maintaining the clean, refined appearance associated with modern Italian interiors.

Rather than treating furniture as a fixed object, Novamobili works with modular systems that can be adapted through different configurations, finishes, handles and internal accessories. This makes the collection particularly suited to bedrooms and interiors where storage needs to feel integrated into the architecture of the room.

Italian Furniture from the Battistella Company

Novamobili is part of the Battistella Company, an Italian furniture group established in 1953 in Pieve di Soligo, near Treviso.

The brand's philosophy is built around modularity, flexibility and furniture designed to respond to real everyday needs, combining an established Italian furniture-making tradition with contemporary manufacturing and design.

Novamobili Wardrobes

Wardrobes sit at the heart of the Novamobili collection. The wider system includes hinged doors, sliding doors and flush-closing sliding doors, with extensive opportunities to customise the appearance and internal organisation of each wardrobe.

Different finishes, handles, lighting and interior accessories allow a wardrobe to be configured around both the architecture of the bedroom and the way the storage will actually be used.

Hinged Door Wardrobes

Novamobili hinged wardrobes offer maximum access to the interior and can be configured against a wall, recessed into an alcove or used within corner compositions.

The RB12 collection includes designs such as Alfa, Gola, Unika, Crystal and Stave, ranging from understated flat-fronted wardrobes to more architectural designs with glass, decorative battens and integrated opening details.

Novamobili Sliding Wardrobes

Sliding doors are especially useful where space in front of the wardrobe is limited, as the doors move across the face of the unit rather than opening out into the room.

Novamobili designs such as Dover, Alfa and Layer combine that practical advantage with a wide choice of finishes and detailing. Layer, for example, can combine framed glass doors with alternative materials, while Alfa offers extensive choice across finishes and handle styles.

Flush-Closing and Coplanar Wardrobes

For an even cleaner architectural appearance, Novamobili also offers flush-closing sliding wardrobe systems.

When closed, the doors align across the face of the wardrobe to create a flatter, more continuous surface. Designs such as Picture use this approach to combine generous storage with the visual simplicity of wall panelling.

Built-In Wardrobes Designed Around the Room

The modular nature of Novamobili makes the collection particularly useful when creating built-in and wall-to-wall wardrobe schemes.

Configurations can be developed around different wall lengths, corners and room layouts, helping the wardrobe feel like an integrated part of the bedroom rather than a freestanding piece placed against the wall.

Plan the Inside Around Your Wardrobe

A successful wardrobe is as much about the interior as the doors. Novamobili offers internal drawer units, hanging rails, shelves and wardrobe lighting that allow the storage to be planned around clothing, footwear and accessories.

Internal drawer units can be configured in different sizes and finishes, while hanging solutions include conventional rails alongside more specialised options. Lighting can also be incorporated into the wardrobe to make the interior easier to use.

Walk-In Wardrobes and the Dedalo System

Novamobili's approach extends beyond conventional wardrobes into walk-in storage and open systems.

The Dedalo system uses structural uprights with shelves, storage units, drawers, hanging rails and accessories to create highly flexible walk-in wardrobes. The same system can also be developed into bookcases, wall systems and home-office arrangements, allowing one design language to continue through different areas of the home.

More Than Bedroom Wardrobes

Although wardrobes are a major part of the Novamobili collection, the wider range extends across bedroom and living furniture.

Novamobili produces beds, bedside tables, drawer units, bookcases, sideboards, wall systems, TV units and modular storage, allowing different rooms to be designed using related materials, colours and proportions.

Finishes That Change the Character of the Wardrobe

The same wardrobe design can take on a very different character depending on the selected finish. Across the Novamobili collection, options can include matt lacquers, super-matt surfaces, eco-wood finishes, veneers, glass, mirrors and more decorative materials depending on the individual model.

This flexibility makes it possible to create wardrobes that either blend quietly into the room or become a deliberate architectural feature.
