Bathroom Accessories

What's in the Bathroom Accessories Range at RB12

This category groups the functional objects that sit on a vanity, hang on a wall or stand on the floor of a bathroom or utility room. It includes pedal bins, soap dispensers, toothbrush tumblers, cosmetic mirrors, toilet brushes, floor and shower wipers, towel racks and ladders, laundry bins, hooks and storage baskets. Almost every piece is made by Blomus, so finishes and design language stay consistent if you're kitting out a bathroom from scratch, with one natural fibre sweeping brush from Bazar Bizar for a softer, more textural note.

Because the range sits within RB12's wider Home & Decor offer, it's designed to be bought alongside other decor pieces rather than in isolation, so a mirror, a bin and a soap dispenser from the same collection will read as a set even if bought separately.

Choosing the Right Size and Placement

Start with the fixed points in the room: how much clear wall is available beside the basin, whether there's space on the floor for a bin or ladder without blocking a door swing, and how close a towel rack needs to be to the shower or bath to be useful. A pedal bin should sit within easy reach of the basin but out of the main walking line, while a toilet brush is best kept close to the pan and not in a spot where it's the first thing visible from the door.

Cosmetic mirrors are usually placed on a vanity top or fixed to the wall at a height that suits the person using them most, and a magnifying mirror such as the Vista Cosmetic Mirror, 5x Magnification is worth siting near natural light if possible, since magnification alone doesn't compensate for poor visibility. Towel ladders and racks need a run of wall clear of pipework, and it's worth checking the wall construction can take fixings before committing to a larger piece.

Materials and Finishes

Stainless steel is the dominant material across the Blomus pieces, chosen for its resistance to moisture and ease of cleaning, and it appears across bins, soap dispensers, hooks and towel racks in either a brushed or polished finish. Polyresin and other moulded materials show up in some of the mirrors and dispensers, giving a lighter weight option where steel would be heavier or costlier. The single Bazar Bizar item, the Sweeping Brush, uses natural fibre rather than steel, which makes it a useful contrast piece if the rest of the room is otherwise quite hard and reflective.

For care, stainless steel accessories generally need only a wipe with a damp cloth and occasional polish to keep the surface free of water spots and fingerprints. Avoid abrasive cleaners on brushed finishes, which can scratch the surface texture, and dry any natural fibre pieces fully after use to prevent damp building up in a fibre such as the sweeping brush.

Bins, Wipers and Laundry Storage

This sub-group covers the practical, high-turnover items: pedal bins in a few sizes and finishes, floor and shower wipers for keeping tiled surfaces dry, and laundry bins for bathrooms without a separate utility space. The Tubo Pedal Bin and Sono Pedal Bin sit at different points in the range and both use a pedal mechanism rather than a swing lid, which keeps hands off the bin when disposing of waste. The Frisco Laundry Bin is sized to double as a linen basket in a smaller bathroom.

Shower wipers such as the Vipo Shower Wiper and floor wipers like the Lavea Floor Wiper are worth keeping on a hook within the shower enclosure itself, since a wiper left out on a shelf tends not to get used consistently.

Mirrors, Dispensers and Vanity Pieces

Cosmetic mirrors range from simple standing models to versions with built-in lighting, such as the Modo LED Cosmetic Mirror, which adds its own light source for grooming tasks where the room's main lighting isn't strong enough. The Sono Cosmetic Mirror is a simpler, non-illuminated option from the same Sono collection as the pedal bin and soap dispenser.

Soap dispensers, toothbrush tumblers and tissue boxes such as the Sono Soap Dispenser, Sono Toothbrush Tumbler and Nexio Cosmetic Tissue Box are the pieces most likely to sit permanently on a vanity top, so matching them within one collection line keeps a shared counter looking coordinated.

Storage, Hooks and Towel Rails

Beyond the vanity, this range covers the wall-mounted and floor-standing storage that keeps a bathroom tidy: hooks, baskets and towel rails. The Nexio Hook and Menoto Towel Rack both fix directly to the wall, so plan their position before tiling or decorating if possible.

Baskets such as the Tela Crochet Basket and Modo Basket work well for rolled towels or spare toiletries on open shelving, and a freestanding option like the Fera Towel Ladder is a useful alternative to a fixed rail where drilling into the wall isn't practical.

How Bathroom Accessories Fit With the Rest of the Home

Bathroom accessories are one part of a wider decor scheme, and RB12's Gift & Decor and Mirrors categories are worth browsing alongside this one if you're furnishing more than a single room. A stainless steel bin or soap dispenser from Blomus will also sit comfortably next to pieces from the same brand used elsewhere in the house, since the material and finish language carries across categories.

If storage is the main concern rather than surface accessories, RB12's broader Cabinets & Storage range covers larger freestanding pieces that can take overflow towels, toiletries or laundry where a bathroom itself has limited built-in storage.
