Tall Scandinavian Storage with a Refined Footprint
The Bolia Yacht Highboard takes the clean proportions and crafted timber detailing of the Yacht collection and extends them into a taller storage format.
At 142 cm high and only 47 cm deep, it creates considerably more vertical storage while remaining relatively shallow against the wall.
Designed by Glismand & Rüdiger
Yacht was designed by Danish duo Glismand & Rüdiger, whose work is shaped by Scandinavian traditions of simplicity, natural materials and carefully considered craftsmanship.
The collection began with a deliberately simple dining table before developing into a wider family of storage and dining furniture united by refined woodwork and understated proportions.
Oak Veneer with a Solid Oak Base
The Yacht Highboard combines oak-veneered surfaces with a solid oak base, keeping the natural grain and warmth of timber central to the design.
The solid oak supporting structure gives the cabinet a reassuring furniture-like presence, while the veneered cabinet surfaces allow the taller form to retain a clean and controlled finish.
Oiled Oak or White Pigmented Oiled Oak
RB12 offers the Yacht Highboard in Oiled Oak and White Pigmented Oiled Oak.
Oiled Oak emphasises the warmer natural tone of the timber, while White Pigmented Oiled Oak creates a lighter Scandinavian expression that works particularly well with pale walls, neutral upholstery and natural stone.
Brass or Stainless Steel Knobs
The choice of Brass or Stainless Steel knobs allows a subtle shift in the overall character of the cabinet.
Brass brings greater warmth against the oak, while Stainless Steel introduces a cooler contemporary detail. Both remain intentionally understated so the timber and proportions stay visually dominant.
146 cm Wide and 142 cm High
The Yacht Highboard measures approximately 146 cm wide, 47 cm deep and 142 cm high.
Its 146 cm width matches the Yacht Sideboard, but the additional height creates substantially more storage without increasing the amount of wall width required.
Designed to Use Vertical Space
A highboard is particularly useful where storage is important but floor area or wall width is limited.
Yacht’s taller proportions make it well suited to dining rooms, open-plan living spaces and larger hallways where enclosed storage is needed without introducing an excessively deep cabinet.
Internal Shelving
Internal shelves allow the tall cabinet to be divided into more manageable storage zones for tableware, glassware, books and other everyday belongings.
Bolia specifies a maximum load of approximately 10 kg per shelf for the Yacht Highboard.
Storage for Dining and Living Rooms
Within a dining room, the Yacht Highboard provides space for tableware, serving pieces and glassware while keeping the contents hidden behind a calm timber exterior.
In a living space, the same vertical storage can accommodate books, accessories and everyday items while leaving the top surface available for lighting, artwork or decorative objects.
Yacht Highboard or Yacht Sideboard?
Choose the Yacht Highboard when you want to maximise storage vertically while retaining the collection’s 146 cm width.
If a lower surface is more important for displaying artwork, lighting or positioning beneath a window, the Bolia Yacht Sideboard offers the same design language at approximately 77.5 cm high.
