Description
Infuse your living landscape with a sense of architectural calm and raw elegance with the Ishi Coffee Table by renowned Danish design studio 101 Copenhagen. Envisioned by acclaimed designers Kristian Sofus Hansen and Tommy Hyldahl, the collection is inspired by the serene weight of natural stone formations. Ishi—the Japanese word for “rock”—embraces soft deformations and fluid, asymmetric planes to create a striking, tactile presence that balances precise contemporary craftsmanship with an understated, organic aura.
To accommodate diverse interior narratives, 101 Copenhagen has meticulously engineered the Ishi silhouette across two distinct luxury mediums:
-
High-Glaze Ceramic: Expertly molded from 100% ceramic and finished with a hand-painted, multi-layered high-gloss glaze. This technique catches ambient light across its uneven surfaces, resulting in deep patterns and luminous reflections.
-
Mouth-Blown Glass: A showcase of absolute technical mastery, featuring 100% hand-finished, mouth-blown glass. The interior is spray-painted to create dense, mineral-like colour gradients, accented by unique organic air bubbles trapped within the glass. A concealed wood and metal core ensures absolute stability.
Designed to be used standalone as a low accent table, or nested together to form a dynamic, rhythmic layout, Ishi is available in two perfectly proportioned variations:
-
Mini Size: A compact, sculptural accent table ideal for tight spaces or pairing alongside deep lounge seating. (Dimensions: Length 31 cm × Width 31 cm × Height 38.5 cm)
-
Medio Size: A grander, grounding focal piece boasting a substantive architectural footprint. (Dimensions: Length 52–55 cm × Width 52–55 cm × Height 39–40.5 cm, depending on material constraints)
Available Finishes & Colourways:
-
Ceramic Finishes: High Glaze Coffee (a deep, rich espresso) & High Glaze Birch (a warm, soft cream).
-
Mouth-Blown Glass Finishes: Smoked Desert (a warm, layered neutral), Smoked Forest (a deep, brown hue), & Caramel (a rich, glowing amber).
