The Saba Italia Ring Table collection brings together slender metal structures and transparent or smoked glass to create a family of coffee and side tables with a distinctly refined character.
Inspired by the elegance and precision of jewellery, each table uses its metal frame almost like a setting around the glass top, giving Ring a light, decorative quality without making the design feel overly ornate.
Designed by Serena Confalonieri
Ring was designed by Serena Confalonieri for Saba Italia and first introduced in 2018. The collection was revisited in 2024, with its proportions and finishes refined to create new combinations and give the design an even more sophisticated expression.
The result is a family of tables that feels delicate in appearance but deliberate in every detail, balancing simple geometry with carefully selected materials and finishes.
Restyled for 2024
The 2024 restyling introduced revised proportions and an updated palette, allowing the different Ring tables to work more naturally both individually and in combination.
This refreshed approach reinforces the jewellery-inspired character of the collection while making Ring easier to integrate into contemporary living rooms, whether used as a subtle accent beside seating or as a more central coffee table.
Tempered Glass Set Within a Fine Metal Frame
Each Ring table combines an 8 mm tempered-glass top with a slender 4 mm iron structure. The frame is available in a selection of chromed or painted finishes, creating a precise outline around the glass.
The transparency of the glass helps the table remain visually light, while the metal edge gives the shape definition and introduces a more decorative, jewel-like detail.
Transparent or Smoked Glass
Different glass options allow Ring to move from almost weightless and transparent to a darker, more atmospheric expression.
Transparent glass keeps the table particularly light and open, allowing rugs, flooring and surrounding furniture to remain visible beneath it. Smoked glass introduces greater depth and contrast while preserving the clean appearance of the collection.
Black Nickel, Satin Brass and Soft Painted Finishes
The metal structure is available in a refined selection of finishes including Black Nickel, Satin Brass, Cream and Dove-Grey.
Black Nickel creates a stronger and more graphic outline, while Satin Brass introduces the warmer character traditionally associated with jewellery. Cream and Dove-Grey offer a softer interpretation that blends more quietly into neutral contemporary interiors.
Round or Square
Ring is available in both round and square forms, allowing the shape to be chosen around the surrounding furniture and available space.
The round versions soften more linear seating arrangements, while the square tables create a stronger geometric relationship with sofas, rugs and architectural elements within the room.
Four Different Proportions
The Ring collection includes four different combinations of shape, size and height, giving the design considerable flexibility within the living room.
The Small Round table measures Ø48 x H50 cm, while the Small Square version measures 53 x 53 x H45 cm. Their taller proportions make them particularly useful beside sofas and armchairs.
For more central lounge arrangements, the Large Round measures Ø80 x H35 cm and the Large Square measures 80 x 80 x H30 cm, creating broader surfaces with a lower, more relaxed stance.
Use One or Create a Layered Arrangement
Each Ring table has enough character to work independently, but the variety of shapes and heights also makes the collection particularly effective when several pieces are used together.
Pairing a taller side table with one of the lower coffee tables creates a layered arrangement of glass surfaces and metal outlines while maintaining a consistent design language throughout the seating area.
A Light Touch for Contemporary Interiors
Ring is particularly well suited to interiors where a solid coffee table might feel too visually heavy. The glass surfaces allow light to pass through the design, while the slim frame adds definition without blocking the view of rugs, flooring or surrounding furniture.
Its refined detailing also makes Ring easy to combine with simple upholstered sofas and armchairs, where the table can introduce a subtle decorative element without dominating the room.

Caring for the Saba Italia Ring Table
Clean the tempered-glass top with a soft lint-free cloth and a suitable glass-cleaning product. Avoid abrasive pads or materials that could scratch the surface.
Dust the metal structure regularly using a soft cloth. For light marks, use a slightly damp cloth before drying the frame carefully, avoiding aggressive or abrasive cleaning products that could affect the chosen finish.
