Description
A Scandinavian Sofa with Flexible Proportions
The SITS Jenny Sofa combines a light, Scandinavian-influenced silhouette with the flexibility of a much broader seating system. Raised legs, slim arms and restrained proportions prevent Jenny from feeling visually heavy, while generous upholstered cushions provide the comfort expected from an everyday living-room sofa.
The collection can be kept simple as a two- or three-seat sofa or expanded into chaise, corner and modular arrangements, allowing the same design language to work in both compact living rooms and much larger open-plan spaces.
Designed by Ian Archer
Jenny was designed by Ian Archer for SITS. The manufacturer describes the collection as drawing on Scandinavian design through delicate proportions and minimalism, while placing equal emphasis on comfort.
That balance is visible in the way Jenny is composed. The frame is visually lifted from the floor, the arms remain relatively slim and the upholstery is allowed to provide softness without turning the sofa into an oversized block.
2 Seater, 3 Seater or Modular Sofa
One of Jenny’s strongest features is the number of ways the collection can be configured. SITS offers regular sofas, chaise longues, corner elements and individual modular sections within the same family.
The standard straight-sofa sizes include:
- 2 Seater: approximately W175 × D97 × H84 cm
- 3 Seater: approximately W215 × D97 × H84 cm
- Seat height: approximately 46 cm
- Seat depth: approximately 58 cm
For larger spaces, Jenny can then be extended using armless sections, chaise modules and corner pieces rather than forcing the room around one fixed sofa size.
Build a Jenny Corner Sofa Around Your Room
The modular system is particularly useful when a standard sofa does not make the best use of the available space. SITS provides left- and right-hand sofa sections, chaise longues, wider chaise options, armless elements and rounded 90-degree corner modules.
That allows Jenny to form anything from a straightforward sofa with chaise to a substantial L-shaped or corner arrangement. Instead of choosing a predetermined corner sofa and hoping it fits, individual elements can be combined around the dimensions and circulation of the room.
For more complicated layouts, contact RB12 with your room dimensions and preferred orientation and we can help identify a suitable Jenny configuration.
Two Back-Cushion Versions
SITS produces Jenny in Version A and Version C. These versions use different back-cushion arrangements while retaining the same fundamental sofa dimensions.
This gives the collection another level of visual choice without changing the overall character of the sofa. It also allows different modules to be planned as part of larger compositions using the back-cushion layout that best suits the intended look.
A Generous 58 cm Seat Depth
Jenny has an approximate sofa seat depth of 58 cm and a seat height of around 46 cm. That combination creates a useful middle ground between very deep lounge seating and a more upright formal sofa.
The depth gives enough room to settle back comfortably without requiring the extreme footprint associated with some low, oversized modular sofas. This makes Jenny particularly relevant where comfort is important but the room still needs the sofa to remain visually composed.
Choose the Upholstery
Jenny is upholstered in fabric with a fixed cover. SITS offers a wide upholstery collection, allowing the character of the sofa to change considerably depending on the texture and colour selected.
The manufacturer currently recommends fabric families including Wildflower, Sky, Stipa and Heather for Jenny, although the exact fabrics available through RB12 should be confirmed when ordering.
A lighter neutral fabric emphasises Jenny’s Scandinavian proportions, while deeper colours or more textured upholstery can give the relatively restrained form a stronger visual presence.
Raised Timber Legs Keep Jenny Visually Light
The sofa is raised on timber legs rather than sitting directly on a low plinth. This leaves visible space beneath the frame and helps prevent larger Jenny arrangements from appearing overly heavy.
SITS offers different leg designs within the Jenny system depending on the element being used, while RB12 can confirm the currently available timber finishes for your chosen sofa configuration.
Jenny for Open-Plan Living
Jenny works particularly well in open-plan interiors because the modular system can help define a living zone without requiring the visual mass of a very low, deep sectional sofa.
A straight three-seater can keep the room open and flexible, while a chaise or corner configuration can create a clearer boundary between living and dining areas. Larger combinations can be built when the sofa itself needs to establish the main architecture of the seating space.
Complete the Jenny Seating Collection
Jenny is a complete seating family rather than a standalone sofa. SITS also offers matching armchairs, freestanding chaise longues and footstools, allowing the same proportions and upholstery language to continue elsewhere in the room.
RB12 also offers the SITS Jenny Armchair, which can be specified alongside the sofa or used separately as an occasional chair.
Handmade in Europe by SITS
SITS manufactures its furniture in its own European factories, combining modern production methods with traditional furniture-making skills and hand craftsmanship.
That manufacturing approach supports the level of variation available across collections such as Jenny, where different modules, upholstery choices and component combinations can form part of the final specification.
Configure Your SITS Jenny Sofa with RB12
With a sofa system this flexible, the best configuration is not always the one shown in the first product image. Room width, circulation, television position, other seating and whether you prefer a chaise or conventional corner can all change which combination works best.
RB12 can help with the Jenny specification, from choosing between a straight sofa and modular arrangement to reviewing dimensions, orientation, fabric and finishing options.

Care
SITS recommends regularly vacuuming fabric upholstery using a soft upholstery brush attachment to prevent dust and dirt building up in the surface.
Cushions should be regularly reshaped and creases smoothed out where required. Any specific cleaning instructions depend on the fabric selected, so always follow the care label supplied with your chosen upholstery and test cleaning products in an inconspicuous area first.
