Description
The 101 Copenhagen Phantom Coffee Table is a sculptural piece that plays with the contrast between delicacy and substantial form. Designed by Kristian Sofus Hansen and Tommy Hyldahl, its distinctive silhouette is created through a unique casting process, giving the table an intentionally handmade character and subtly irregular surface.
Crafted from aluminium, the Phantom combines a gently curved tabletop with slender, organic-looking legs to create a piece that feels part furniture, part sculpture. Despite its strong visual presence, the simple proportions allow it to sit comfortably within contemporary living rooms, beside an armchair or as part of a layered coffee-table arrangement.
The Phantom Coffee Table is available in two sizes. The Low version measures 50 × 50 × 35cm and works naturally as a central coffee table, while the Tall version measures 40 × 40 × 50cm and can be used as a side or occasional table. Pairing the two heights together creates a particularly effective layered composition.
Choose between two contrasting finishes. Chrome gives the aluminium a polished, mirror-like surface that reflects light and the surrounding interior, creating a clean and contemporary expression. Burn Antique is hand painted to produce a warmer, darker finish with subtle tonal variation and the character of an aged patina.
Designed for indoor use, the Phantom Coffee Table captures 101 Copenhagen’s distinctive approach to Scandinavian design, combining minimalist forms with strong sculptural references and expressive material finishes.
