The Drift Collection is built around a simple idea, executed with real precision: a solid-coloured rug where all the interest comes from texture rather than pattern. By combining cut and loop pile within the same weave, Drift achieves a soft, understated surface relief — a living, textured surface that catches and holds shifting natural light throughout the day, rather than a flat, uniform plane. Weaving the lines completely straight, as this technique demands, requires exceptional precision on the handloom, and it’s this quiet attention to detail that gives Drift its calm, harmonising presence in a room.
Each rug is handwoven from 100% high-quality wool on a cotton warp, with a dense 14–15mm pile height that feels substantial and soft underfoot. The result is a rug that works as a quiet foundation for a room’s decor rather than competing with it — equally at home in a bedroom, kitchen/dining room or living room.
Drift is offered in six considered shades, from crisp neutrals through to warmer, earthier tones: Bone White, Light Oatmeal, Dusty Blue (a muted blue-grey, somewhere between dawn sky and rain-heavy mist), Olive, Rust and Walnut. As with any natural, handwoven material, colours may vary slightly depending on lighting.
Four standard sizes are available — 180×270cm, 200×300cm, 250×350cm and 300×400cm — alongside a fully bespoke sizing service for rooms that call for something more specific. Custom lengths run from 140cm to 1800cm and custom widths from 75cm to 500cm, with the shorter side always entered as the width; because each bespoke rug is handcrafted individually, natural size variation of up to 3cm can occur, and custom orders cannot be cancelled once production begins.
