The Bolia Cana Bedside Table combines clean Scandinavian proportions with the softer texture of a woven front. Mounted directly to the wall, the design keeps the floor underneath visible and gives the bedroom a lighter, less cluttered appearance than a conventional floor-standing nightstand.
Its compact depth and simple rectangular form keep the focus on the material contrast: oak veneer provides structure and warmth, while the distinctive French-wicker front introduces transparency and texture.

Cana was designed by Danish design duo Steffensen & Würtz. Bolia describes the collection as being inspired by the distinctive tranquillity of Danish seaside hotels, where simplicity, authenticity and a relaxed atmosphere shape the experience of the interior.
That influence can be seen in the bedside table’s restrained form. Rather than adding decorative hardware or heavy detailing, the designers use proportion, natural-looking timber and the woven front to create the character of the piece.
The Signature Cana French-Wicker Front
The airy woven front is the defining feature of the wider Cana collection. Bolia refers to the material as French wicker, using the open weave to visually lighten the furniture and distinguish Cana from conventional solid-front storage.
On a relatively small piece such as the bedside table, that detailing becomes particularly noticeable. The woven surface introduces subtle pattern and texture beside upholstered beds, linen bedding and other soft bedroom materials without making the furniture feel overly decorative.
Wall-Mounted to Keep the Bedroom Feeling Open

RB12 offers the Cana Bedside Table in two versions. Both are 47 cm wide and 30 cm deep, but the overall height changes depending on the amount of storage and visual presence required.

- H36: 47 × 30 × 36 cm
The 20 cm version is the most minimal interpretation, keeping the cabinet visually compact beside the bed. The 36 cm version creates a more substantial bedside unit while maintaining the same 47 cm width and 30 cm depth.
Oiled Oak or White-Pigmented Oiled Oak
RB12 currently offers Cana in two oak veneer finishes:

Oiled oak brings out a warmer, richer timber tone, while the white-pigmented finish creates a paler expression that works particularly well in lighter Scandinavian bedroom schemes.
Because the principal wood finish is veneer, the product should be described as oak veneer rather than solid oak.
Practical Storage Beside the Bed
The Cana bedside design is fitted with practical concealed storage behind its characteristic woven front. This allows smaller everyday items to remain close to the bed without permanently occupying the top surface.
