A Contemporary Icon in Blown Glass
The Miniforms Soda Coffee Table transforms traditional Italian glassmaking into a piece of contemporary furniture that feels as much like sculpture as it does a functional table.
Designed by Greek designer Yiannis Ghikas, Soda is formed from a single volume of blown glass. Three master glassmakers work together to blow, draw and shape the molten material, creating the circular tabletop and three distinctive petal-like legs as one continuous form.
Crafted by Master Glassmakers
The production process is central to the character of Soda. Working at this scale requires considerable control and experience, with each piece shaped while the glass remains molten.
The result is a table with subtle variations and a deliberately tactile surface. Its hammered texture fragments the transparency of the glass, creating reflections, shadows and tonal changes that shift throughout the day.
Rather than hiding the character of the material, Soda celebrates it. The slightly irregular surface gives each table a sense of movement and helps distinguish it from conventional machine-produced glass furniture.
Colour, Light and Transparency
Soda is available in Amber, Amethyst, Blue and Petrol Green, with each colour changing the way the table interacts with its surroundings.
Amber introduces warmth and works particularly well alongside natural timber, cream upholstery and earthy interiors. Amethyst provides a richer, more expressive tone, while Blue and Petrol Green create cooler contrast against neutral living-room schemes.
Because the colour sits within the transparent glass rather than on an opaque surface, the appearance changes depending on the light and the objects around it.
A Sculptural Coffee Table for Contemporary Interiors
At 55cm in diameter and 30cm high, the Soda Coffee Table has compact proportions but a strong visual presence.
It can sit beside a sofa or armchair as a statement occasional table, or be introduced into a larger living-room composition alongside other coffee and side tables.
Its rounded form also works particularly well in interiors dominated by straight architectural lines, rectangular rugs and linear seating, introducing a softer shape without adding unnecessary visual weight.
