The Cane-line Wave Coffee Table combines a softly sculptural rattan base with a generous glass top, creating a design that feels relaxed, organic and lightly influenced by retro furniture.
Its curved structure moves away from rigid geometric lines, giving Wave a more informal character that works naturally within contemporary living rooms and softer, more layered interiors.
Designed by Foersom & Hiort-Lorenzen MDD
Wave was designed by Danish design duo Foersom & Hiort-Lorenzen MDD, whose work combines functional thinking with carefully considered forms and materials.
With Wave, the designers use the curved rattan structure as the defining visual element, allowing the table to feel sculptural without becoming overly formal or decorative.
Natural Rattan Construction
The indoor Wave Coffee Table is produced in rattan, giving the base a warm, tactile character that contrasts beautifully with the smooth glass surface above.
The open weave and flowing structure keep the table visually light, allowing it to introduce natural texture into the room without feeling heavy or bulky.
A Floating Drop-Shaped Glass Top
The glass tabletop appears to float above the rattan base, making the sculptural structure beneath clearly visible and reinforcing the lightness of the design.
Its drop-shaped form introduces another soft curve into the composition, giving Wave a less conventional silhouette than a standard round or rectangular coffee table.
Generous Surface, Light Visual Presence
The glass top measures approximately 96 x 89 cm, providing a generous surface for books, trays, drinks and decorative objects.
Despite the useful surface area, the transparent glass prevents the table from visually dominating the room, allowing rugs, flooring and the rattan structure beneath to remain visible.
A Curved and Sculptural Base
The Wave base measures approximately 74 x 65 cm and stands 40 cm high, creating a compact support beneath the larger glass top.
Its curved profile gives the table a playful and organic quality, helping the design feel approachable and relaxed while still retaining a clear designer identity.
Made for Indoor Living
This rattan version of the Wave Coffee Table is designed for indoor use. The natural material makes it particularly well suited to living rooms, lounges and conservatory-style interiors where texture and warmth are an important part of the scheme.
Pair it with soft upholstery, wool rugs, linen and timber for a relaxed Nordic look, or use the rattan as a warmer contrast within a cleaner contemporary interior.

Caring for the Cane-line Wave Coffee Table
Dust the rattan base regularly using a soft cloth or soft brush attachment to help prevent dirt from settling within the natural material.
Clean the glass tabletop using a soft lint-free cloth and a suitable glass-cleaning product, avoiding abrasive pads or materials that could mark the surface.
As this version is made from natural rattan, it should remain indoors and should not be exposed to outdoor weather conditions or prolonged moisture.
