With graphic lines, rhythmic forms, and contrasting colour fields, each piece becomes a striking element in the room. The three designs interpret geometry in different ways—from vertical half-circles to circular motifs and framed colour blocks.
The collection comprises three designs, each with its own geometric rhythm. Coppa Canella is built on a vertical flow of half circles in muted earthy tones, Mezza Confetto plays with circular compositions in contrasting shades, and Doppio Rosa balances two defined colour fields framed by linear structure. Each rug is hand-tufted in 100% wool by skilled artisans in Bhadohi, India. Every colour field is carefully hand-cut to create subtle height variations and a tactile surface that enhances the pattern.
The name Gio plays on geo – as in geometry – while also honouring the Italian architect and designer Gio Ponti, whose way of merging form, colour, and precision has long influenced LAYERED’s creative direction.
