It looks like summer has finally arrived! A little later than last year but just in time for hospitality businesses to open their doors to the public and for homeowners to fire up their barbeques and invite friends and family over to their gardens. 

A lot of us have caught the gardening bug over lockdown, so why not show off our well-manicured gardens and fill them with luxurious, comfortable dining and lounging areas to enjoy the view from. 

RB12 is home to some great brands that offer a wide range of outdoor furniture. From alfresco dining sets, furniture to lounge in the sunshine in, and lights suitable for the outdoors so the party can go on into the night. As you may know, here at RB12 we have an infinity with the Italian way of life… Meaning friends, family and food! So let’s start this month’s roundup with outdoor dining furniture…

Alfresco Dining

One of our favourite suppliers is Gervasoni, and we’d like to present you their InOut 144 table, a great outdoor dining table made with a sturdy lacquered aluminium frame. The InOut 114 can seat up to 8 people and can be extended for when you have more guests. The table top comes in natural teak slats for a more naturalistic look, or on the higher end they offer marble or porcelain stoneware.

Also pictured are the InOut 823 outdoor chairs which match perfectly with this table. The height and upright backs are great for finding a comfortable eating position, and the woven elastic belts offer ultimate support.

If your style is more of a cafe vibe with high seating you could consider one of the latest brands to join our family, Expormim. They have a fantastic high dining table named the Flamingo, this is again made from aluminium with a polyester powder for a matt finish. Its round top lends itself to a casual dining experience. The barstools pictured are the Out_line stool, a hand-woven rope chair on a stainless steel frame also covered in a polyester powder. 

GandiaBlasco offers a casual lounging collection with their Onde products. This collection includes a cosy one-seater lounge chair, either a 2 OR 3 seater sofa and a modern low standing square coffee table. This seating range is made of welded corrugated aluminium sheets, covered with soft cushions which come in a variety of quality fabrics and a range of colour palettes proposed by designer Luca Nichetto and all the other GandiaBlasco options.

Outdoor lounging 

This leads us nicely onto some of RB12’s most comfy and luxurious outdoor lounge seating. 

RB12 supplier GART has a beautiful outdoor seating line called the Mediterraneo, a modular piece that is cozy and welcoming with plush cushioning. It is a light and versatile collection which can be moved around the garden with ease. There are four distinct pieces that can be put together in a multitude of configurations including a chair, a corner chair, chaise longue and a pouf. The covers are removable and you can choose from a wide range of colour options and fabrics suitable for outside spaces. 

RB12 supplier Saba Italia have a sophisticated range in Pixel Light. Originally designed for inside spaces (and still available), it has been expanded to include an outdoor version of this collection. This iconic design has been made lighter, whilst still keeping hold of its original silhouette in robust steel. The frame is available in varnished champagne or a noir finish, and can be embellished with textile bands that give it summertime allure. This piece is customisable in a few different combinations; you can add backrest panels, padded armrests or a new low-level table element made from naturally varnished iroko wood. Its most practical feature is the water resistance, the frame is made from marine plywood and has heat-welded, water-resistant canvas for the padding. 

For a more traditional style consider the InOut 709 from Gervasoni. This is a modern rocking chair made from iroko treated wood with soft cushions, accompanied by removable cushions for easy cleaning. 

Outdoor Lighting

To keep the party going into the night you may want to invest in some stylish outdoor lighting. Brokis is one of our long-standing suppliers and they have a beautiful range of pendant lights made from smoked glass. They have an IP44 rating making them suitable for exterior use, with a two-piece weatherproof durable body. They give off a subtle glow through LED lights which complements their form and finish. 

Available at RB12 is the brand Diabla. They have recently released some stand-out exterior lamps, including a range of different shapes that illuminate as a whole, becoming light sculptures for a truly architectural look. They are available in pyramids, squares and oblongs and are made from 100% recycled polyethene so can be transported with ease.
