It's an exciting time at RB12 – our family is growing! We're delighted to be able to introduce you to five brands we will now be representing from our design space in London. All sharing the highest quality of craftsmanship and material innovation, we're certain these new additions will feel right at home at RB12 – and perhaps in your home too!
Firstly there's AMWA Designs, a company based in London who produce beautiful textiles that are rich in meaning and character. Founded in 2014, AMWA is the brainchild of Chelsea College of Art graduate, Chrissa Amuah. Amuah's Ghanaian heritage forms the central inspiration for the brand's collections, notably through the use of Adrinka symbols that are used both decoratively and to give the collections' narrative substance.
As well as textiles and wallpaper, AMWA recently launched Fusion Lights – a collection of lights and lampshades – together with handmade lights specialist, The Bespoke Boutique. Designed and handmade in London, the Bespoke Boutique's lamp collections range from classic to contemporary, always using unique materials – from hand-weaved silk trimmings to vintage fabrics.
For centuries Gypsum has been one of the most popular building materials across the world. At RB12 we champion material innovation so we're excited to be welcoming Gypsum Arte into the fold – a company that continues to push boundaries and work innovatively with this staple material of the construction industry. As well as manufacturing a huge range of beautiful products in plaster, concrete and polystyrene, Gypsum Arte offer professional consulting assistance for commercial and domestic interiors.
Sustainability and wellness are two aspects of interior design which are especially important to RB12. We're therefore proud to introduce two closely linked brands, Matteo Brioni and Fornace Brioni, who use raw earth to produce flooring and surface solutions. The Brioni family have almost 100 years of experience working with organic materials and have developed extensive mixtures from their factory in Gonzaga, Italy.
Since 1920 Fornace Brioni have been producing highly sought after cotto tiles for sheathing and flooring. Italian workmanship at its finest, Fornace Brioni use traditional wooden frames to create cotto tiles in a range of shapes that are inspired by Italian culture. Decades of material research enables the team to produce tiles in a range of colours, designs and glazes, including variegated cotto which has a beautiful marbled finish.
Matteo Brioni, established in 2010, works with raw earth to produce exquisite wall and surface finishes with unique thermal and acoustic properties, in a range of colours and textures, for commercial and domestic interiors. Ethics, beauty and ecology are fundamental to this brand, which resonates deeply with our philosophy at RB12. We're thrilled to be welcoming Fornace Brioni and Matteo Brioni to the RB12 family.
Last but not least there's Lapalma, a contemporary Italian furniture brand whose collections are united by their minimalist aesthetic. Slick lines and geometric shapes give Lapalma's products a timeless style. Whilst perhaps best suited to the contract market, Lapalma's sizeable portfolio can cater for domestic projects as well. Sustainability has been key to this forward-thinking company throughout its 30 year history and its enthusiasm for strong design, craftsmanship and practicality is evident across its range of chairs, tables, desks and other office accessories.
